C. Bertrand and Marian Othmer Schultz Collegiate Scholarship ($1500)
The Nebraska Academy of Sciences collegiate scholarship in memory of C. Bertrand and Marian Othmer Schultz will be offered to a Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited college or university in the state of Nebraska. The applicant must have a declared major in a natural science discipline (chemistry, physics, biology, geology) and be anticipating a career in a science related industry, science teaching or scientific research.
Scholarship applications will be reviewed by the scholarship committee. Scholarship renewals will also be reviewed on a case by case basis. Scholarship recipients must show progress toward their career goals and the scholarship is not automatically renewed.
Applications should include the following:
- Name of educational institution
- Current academic standing at institution
- Total number of completed credits at the end of most recent Fall semester
- Current grade point average
- A complete list of all science coursed completed and the letter grade received
- Copy of college transcript(s)
- Essay describing your career plans after graduation
- Science faculty recommendation
- Nebraska Academy of Sciences member recommendation

Students are required to ensure that their designated recommenders fill out and submit the recommendation form online.

- Applications must be completed by the deadline.

- You will be able to edit you application until the deadline.
